Mr. Antwon Chavis

Choreographer of the St. C. Singers

Antwon Chavis is a freelance show choir choreographer based in New

York City.  He has studied dance for the past 20 years and in that

time he has become well rounded in the areas of tap, jazz, hip

hop, commercial funk, swing, ballroom in addition to much more.

  During the past few years he has had the opportunity to work

with and attend workshops where nationally known professionals

showcased their talents including: Darrin Henson (Choreography for

NSync), Chet Walker (Choreography for Annie Get Your Gun and

Fosse), Barry Lather (Staging for Brian Boitano), Niesha Folks

(Choreography for Gap Khakis Swing Commercial),  Chris Judd

(Choreography for Jennifer Lopez), and various others.  Antwon

currently choreographs and designs shows for mixed, unisex, and

middle school show choirs in the states of Iowa, Wisconsin,

Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and West Virginia.  In 5 years time his

groups have captured a total of 29 best choreography awards and

won grand champions or placed in the top six at numerous

competitions.  Mr. Chavis also has adjudicated at numerous

competitions throughout the states of Ohio, West Virginia, Iowa,

Missouri, Minnesota, and Michigan.
